Our birthday parties are very popular, so contact us an email so that we can help you arrange a fun climbing birthday party at The Hangout.
We have a selection of cold drinks and snack foods to choose from, or you are welcome to bring your own party food and drinks. We can also arrange for Pizza and other local take away’s to be delivered. We have a microwave for your use and you are welcome to put your cake in our fridge. We also have a BBQ available if you you would like to use it. The BBQ requires booking, so just let us know when you book your party. For Mum and Dad we have a fantastic coffee machine which makes a great tasting cup from fresh beans.
Why not download one of our invites and take one more thing off your “to do” list. Everybody attending The Hangout must have completed an enrollment form prior to their first climb and if under 18 years of age it must be signed by a parent or guardian. These are also available from “downloads”. Most parents send these out with the party invitations.
If your children are under the age of thirteen they will need someone older to hold the rope for them (called belaying). We will lend you a harness for free and teach you how to do this when you arrive. You are welcome to have up to one adult belayer (rope holder) for every two children under 13 at no charge (one to every 3, 4 or 5 kids works too). You can choose to have extra belayers, however there is an additional charge for this. Parties for children aged 13 and above do not require adults to hold the ropes for them as they can be taught to belay for each other.
